Stuart Broad insists he has no problems with Kevin Pietersen making a comeback - Cricket News Roundup ? Part 1 ? October 11, 2012

England?s T20 skipper, Stuart Broad, in a recent interview has clarified that he would welcome controversial all-rounder Kevin Pietersen back in the national team if he is cleared by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

"I've not spoken to Kev since the Headingley Test match, but I'd have no problems playing with him or having a beer with him. It's not an issue," said Broad who had a terrible World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka, failing to lead his side to a successful defence of their title.

However, he admitted that KP?s retirement from one-day cricket was a personal disappointment because that automatically placed Pietersen out of England?s T20 squad.

?In June, when I found out he'd retired from the white-ball format, as captain I was hugely disappointed, because I thought he'd be an integral part of our World Cup defence. It would be hard for me to say we didn't miss someone of his experience at the top of the order, so I was disappointed when he did pull out,? said the lanky pacer.

Last week KP signed a four-month central contract which could mean a comeback in the national team for the tour of India.

Azhar Mahmood propels Aces against Hampshire to take Auckland into the main draw with his side winning the match by eight wickets.

Mahmood was named as the Player of the Match for taking five wickets in four overs, followed by an unbeaten innings of 55 off 31 to successfully chase down 122 runs needed to win.

Hampshire after being put into bat, gave a lacklustre performance with most of the batsmen failing to handle Auckland?s bowling onslaught. MA Carberry was the best batsman from Hampshire with 65 runs to his name.

Yorkshire have also qualified for the next round of the ongoing Champions League Twenty20 by beating Trinidad & Tobago on Wednesday.

The English side gave a decent bowling performance, managing to restrict the opposition on 148, and then batted their way to victory as they chased down the required target in 18.5 overs for the loss of four wickets.

GS Ballance was named as the Man of the Match for hammering an unbeaten knock of 64.?
