We are currently looking for Adjunct Faculty to work at our Las Vegas, Nevada campus.
Detailed Description:
At this time we are specifically hiring for Adjunct instructors for the following courses: Business Law (MGMT 390); Business Statistics (MATH 222); Financial Accounting (MGMT 210); Managerial Accounting (MGMT 312); and American National Government (GOVT 320).
Job Requirements:
The requirements for each course are as follows:
o Business Law (MGMT 390): Master s degree/Ph.D. required in Law or Business Law. An MBA is not acceptable for this course. Practical or post-secondary teaching experience within the last 7 years is required in legal business aspects, contracts, bailment, negotiable instruments, partnerships, consumer credit, or government s influence on business law.
o Business Statistics (MATH 222): Master s degree/Ph.D. required in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, or Psychology, along with 18 graduate semester hours of mathematics courses, of which at least 6 semester hours must be statistics courses. An MBA is not acceptable for this course. Practical or post-secondary teaching experience within the last 7 years is required in descriptive and inferential statistics, data, sampling techniques, measures of central tendency and dispersion, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, or simple linear regression.
o Financial Accounting (MGMT 210): Requires Master s/Ph.D. in Accounting or Finance. An MBA degree is not acceptable for this course. Practical and/or post-secondary teaching experience within the last 7 years is required in accounting information systems, financial reports, accounting concepts and analysis, or financial reports interpretation. Aviation-related business activities experience preferred.
o Managerial Accounting (MGMT 312): Masters/Ph.D. required in accounting or finance. An MBA degree is not acceptable for this course. Practical and/or post-secondary teaching experience within the last 7 years is required in cost information and internal decision making including cost analysis, control, allocation, and planning. Aviation/Aerospace-related business activities experience is preferred.
o American National Government (GOVT 320): Masters/Ph.D. required in political science, history, government, social sciences, liberal arts, humanities (public administration or public policy), or education. All acceptable degrees require 18 graduate-level semester hours or more in government, political science, and/or history. Practical or post-secondary teaching experience within the last 7 years is required in American democracy, constitutional principles, executive legislation, or judicial government branches (Nevada Government and Constitution).
